OKUSATU.ID – Goa Putri is one of the local tourism assets in Indonesia. This tourist attraction, which is full of folklore legends, is located in Padang Bindu Village, Semidang Aji Di strict, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency.

The legend about Goa Putri that emerged in the community, the cave is said to have originated from a curse or oath of a warrior in the past.

The warrior was famous for his magical powers in his time, named Serunting Sakti or Si Pahit Lidah.

According to local residents, the princess stone that appears at the intersection of the Ogan River and the Semuhun River, is a beautiful princess who was cursed by Si Pahit Lidah.

The oath was uttered because the Princess did not hear when Si Pahit Lidah called her.

The stone, approximately 4 meters high, appears in the middle of the intersection, shaped like a large di ameter thread with plants on top that form a crown.

Princess Cave of the Sworn Kingdom

Not only the princess, it is said that Princess Cave used to be a kingdom led by Princess Dayang Merindu.

The princess was enthroned in the cave, as if she had two guardian tigers.

However, the throne of the princess who was sworn in is now a stone. Meanwhile, the two guardian tigers have also become stone.

The position of the guardian tigers is still at the mouth of the cave on the west side. Guarding the entrance to the cave from that di rection.

Four Entrances to Princess Cave

The princess cave, which is dominated by stalactites and stalagmites, has four entrances. However, when it became a tourist attraction, the cave only had two doors.

One door is at the mouth of the cave, and the other door is the exit.

Each has its own uniqueness. Like at the entrance, a hanging stone must be hit before entering the cave.

While at the exit of the cave, the densest stones form officials from the royal era wearing tanjak (traditional hats).

The door on the west side faces the forest with a stone statue of two guardian tigers.

While the door on the south side is directly adjacent to the ravine. However, across from the South door, there is a cave that has been studied by National Archaeology.

Royal Facilities Inside the Cave

In addition to the princess’ throne, inside the cave there is also a past people’s hall, a bed or princess’s bed.

Then there is also the princess’ kitchen, and a stream of water where the princess bathed which is now believed by the community to be an intermediary to cure several diseases.

It is said that the water can make people who wash their faces stay young.

Inhabited by Supernatural Tigers

The princess’ cave holds its supernatural side. Based on the investigation of supernatural practitioners, inside the cave there is a group of supernatural tigers.

It is said that these tigers continue to guard the security inside the cave from damage by human hands.
